THE ART OF J.M.STEELE

"Ethereal Delights - Western Sights" focuses on the western themes and landscapes that she loves. Steele has lived throughout the West all of her life, and her upcoming exhibition of oil paintings showcase her luminous 'Skyscapes' as well as pastoral scenes and the animals that inhabit them.

The exhibition will also include her humorous takeoffs on famous historical paintings, using dogs to replace the original human subjects.

As winner of the 2008 CAM Biennial, J.M.Steele's oil paintings will be on view at the Coos Art Museum December 11, 2009 – February 13, 2010

Greetings! This post is long over-due. I have not written on my blog since our beloved Corgi girl, Rustie, passed away. But, the time is now right because this week I will be having a One-Person exhibit at the Coos Art Museum, and it's all due to Rustie. Because of her portrait, "The Laughing Corgilier", I won the People's Choice Award for the 2008 CAM Biennial show, and as a result I received a solo exhibit at the Museum. Thank you Rustie!
