Expressions West 2016 opening Reception this Friday April 22, 2016 5 -7 pm.

I was so pleased to have my painting " American Icon" juried into the Coos Art Museum Show.

This Juried exhibition presents sixty-one paintings by fifty-four artists residing in

Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington.

Home Again! Thank you Collectors! Great Show!

We are home again after being gone for 3 months this winter exhibiting at the

Arizona Fine Art Exposition!   It was a great show with fantastic weather!

 

We can't thank our collectors, family and friends enough for making it a

wonderful success!   And we so enjoyed meeting new clients and
collectors!  A HUGE Thank you to all!

Summertime & My New Painting by J.M.Steele

Summer has been great!.....lots of sunny days, blueberry picking,  art shows, painting excursions and fun with family and friends.
  I've been in lots of local shows and will update with pictures soon.

Steele & Steele Painting in Expressions West 2013 Coos Art Museum Exhibition

 

Expressions West 2013 at the Coos Art Museum is a Regional Western Exhibition with artists chosen from over 8 states. Opening night was Friday May 31st from 5-7 pm. and the show will run from May 31- July 27, 2013.
Tod & I were very pleased to have one of our collaborative animal paintings juried into the show.

John Hewitt was the juror and awards judge. Hewitt is a signature member of many prestigious watercolor societies including the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Watercolor West and the Kentucky Watercolor Society. He has studied with master painters Vernon Nye, George Post  and Millard Sheets. Hewitt has taught at the College of the Redwoods and Pacific Union College as well as numerous workshops on the West Coast and in Europe.

The Oil Painters of America unveils the 22nd annual National Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils, at the InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX. May 18 - June 17, 2013

Every year the OPA strives to present the best in representational art based on draftsmanship, color, and composition with diverse subject matter and styles.

Laura Rintala, the managing editor, wrote a wonderful article and included profiles of the OPA artists, mine is on page 43, and see "Don't Mess With Mama!" on page 49.
